a battle of wills

my husband does not like the name oliver for our new kitten; he thinks we could call him monkey, because we found him in a tree.

and i want to call him oliver, because oliver twist was an orphan, a scrappy little survivor who beat the odds, just like this kitten.

we could combine the names. molikey? malarkey? moliver? monkey-liver?

no.

we'll keep it simple. i'll call him oliver; my husband will call him monkey. that won't confuse the poor kitten at all. :P
