still pregnant!
Okay, okay, I know... I have neglegted this blog dreadfully. But... now an update.
I don't think the baby wants to wait until Nov. 18th... so he might be (most likely will be) an October baby. I've been having lots of contractions, so went in today and the doctor said I'm not in labor now, but I could have him in even a week!
So... we are both very excited and just waiting now. Nick has finished painting the baby's room, and just bought some carpet for it. There was some horrible striped stuff in there, that had to have dated back to the 60's. So, Nick got some blue carpet. We have the walls painted a light green, and found a cute wallpaper border with frogs on it. :) Should be cheery.
Everything is packed and ready to go to the hospital -- all I have to do is grab my pillow and my trusty "What to Expect When You're Expecting", and I'm all set.
It was so fun buying all his little clothes! They are so tiny and cute. I found a little Gap shirt and cargo pants. They are so adorable. Anyway, I must be going through the "nesting" phase, as they call it; I washed all his clothes and folded them and have been finding little projects to do around the house.
Speaking of clothes... Nick got into the spirit of things and ordered him a Cleveland Browns' outfit. I guess he wants to start him out right. I of course, countered with a Green Bay Packer's outfit, so the kid will know the proper team to cheer for.
I've been carrying this baby around for so long that I can't wait to meet him and see what he looks like. It will be so cool to finally be able to hold him! :)
Other than that, I can't think of much else that is going on in our lives that is too exciting at the moment. Am busy juggling work and part-time classes, so will welcome the maternity leave, even though it won't really be a break.
The part-time classes work out much better than trying to go full-time, which was originally the only set-up for the Nursing program. But now, they have a part-time program, which goes during the weekends, so it doesn't interfere with work.
Of course... I need to try and stay awake during these classes, but that's another story.
Tonight, I'm enjoying the rare night off... had someone else work for me because of the contractions I keep having. It gets a bit old to have contractions all night when you have to walk almost constantly.
So... we'll see what happens in a week! I may be posting about a new little boy! :)
