Well, things are working out quite well here...

I got promoted the other day. I'm now a supervisor where I work, and will be working third shift, monday thru friday. No more weekends!! How lucky is that?! Woo hooo!!! So, I'll be able to spend more time with my husband, and I'm a night owl anyway, so working third shift won't be too bad.

Nick's employement authorization interview is coming up next Friday -- I'm not sure if he'll get is authorization then, or if they'll mail it to him, but it would be sooo nice if he could get that. :) He's getting a bit antsy to get out and work; you can only do so much around the house. :P

I'm baking bread -- the lazy way (thanks to Rebecca, Jen and Terry). They got us a bread maker for a wedding gift and so now I can bake bread with almost no effort. I feel quite spoiled. No more slaving away, kneading out dough on a floury table, while trying not to sneeze at the flour dust. Ack! I'm making regular old white bread right now, but I found a recipe for outmeal bread that looked delicious. :) I'll be making that soon.

This bread maker even makes jams apparently, but I haven't tried that yet. Hmmmm... a whole new way of looking at canning! You can make rolls and sweet breads, too, so I'll be baking with little or no effort involved, and Nick will be getting a bit heavier, I daresay. :P He's always working out though, so maybe not.

He's going to teach me kick-boxing -- which should come in quite handy for my security profession. You never know when you're going to be attacked by angry ninjas. Okay, well, maybe nothing as dramatic as all that, but it is nice to know. That way, when I'm about 80 years old, and some punk decides I'd be easy to mug, I can go "HYA!!" and "WAHHHH" in a high pitched voice and then kick him to the ground.

Well, its something to do in the winter. Not much to do at present, and I can't wait until summer. We are going to plant a huge garden, and we got the seeds already. We got lots of sweet corn, squash (acorn and buttercup), melons, beans, peas, canteloupe, broccoli, tomatoes, onions, green peppers, and lots of herbs -- going to have an herb garden too. Sooooo, if any of y'all want any vegetables, this summer, give us a call. :D

Well, got to go for now. Me and farmer Nick are going out tonight, to celebrate my promotion. :D

Ciao!
