relaxing, huh?

After work, my head was throbbing, so I decided to take some woman's mag advice and light a candle and take a nice bath. It's midnight, my parents are in bed, and thus, I have the whole house to myself. Heavenly... As I sank into the warm water, I waited for the tension to melt off my shoulders.... And waited.

First off, I realized that I had forgotten to turn off the light; so I had to get out and turn off the lights to have the perfect relaxed atmosphere.

Ah... That's better. The house is so quiet and peaceful. Well, sort of quiet... Next thing I know, a loud knocking on the bathroom door startles me before I can totally drift off into relaxation mode. Its my mom, and she got up at midnight because she can't sleep, and to tell me there's lefse in the refrigerator. And she knows I love lefse. It couldn't wait until morning, ya know? Can you tell we've got Norwegian in our blood? lol

My head is still throbbing. So, I decide that this isn't working, and get out and blow out my candle. My ponytail flies out of the makeshift bun I have it in, and I almost ignite my hair. However, the pencil that was supposed to hold it in place is still firmly lodged in my hair. *sigh* Luckily, I managed not to become Living Torch Girl, and went to get dressed. And realized, I had forgotten to get a change of clothes. Whereupon I have to race through the house, and find something to wear to bed.

I luck out with some pajama pants my mom wore when she was pregnant with me, and a Superman t-shirt. I remind myself NOT to go downstairs in this outfit tomorrow morning. Mom's preggy pajama pants wouldn't be so bad, except they have feet on 'em... and while they are warm, you don't want to answer the door in them, either. Which is what happened yesterday when the Schwan's man came to the door. I make my dad answer because I don't wanna be seen in these. Then I realize, belatedly, that the chair I'm sitting in is in plain sight of the door, and he can see my lovely footie pajama pants anyway. *sigh*

Ah well, at least I was warm.

Oh, and I think my headache is gone. lol, perhaps typing in my blog is stress-reducing. :P
